scarborough hydroponics

More and more people are discovering that growing plants indoors is a very satisfying and rewarding hobby. And because the houses we live in now are more lighter, warmer and more or less free throw, it used to be, there is less chance of your plants suffer dramatic changes in temperature throughout the course the day or night. So a whole new range of plants from around the world can now be grown successfully indoors. The plants I have selected here are all easy to grow and require only basic care.

Five plants in a sunny spot.

Callistemon citrinus C.

Also known as "bottle brush plant. In Australia. This is an evergreen shrub easy to grow. Its red flowers appear in spikes in June. The flowers have petals, only nails, arranged in a bottle brush. This plant can grow to 4 feet tall. But it can be pruned to maintain size. They prefer a position that gives several hours of sun each day. However, a cooler position is necessary in winter, so they can rest. Replanting after three years of growth. Water well in summer, but do not allow the boat to remain in the water. Keep just moist in winter, but never allow the pot to dry.

Eucalyptus globulus

This is a fast growing tree. Because it can grow 3.4 meters per year, can only be grown at home for a year or two. It produces sweetly scented leaves glaucous. This is a strong, vigorous growing plant. A seed sown in spring will become a large plant in late summer. Prefers a sunny spot in a room hot or cold. The plant can take in the garden in summer. When the plant grows too big, sow a few seeds then discard the plant. Water well in summer, allowing a few inches of the pot to dry between waterings. Keep the pot barely moist in winter. Feed with a liquid fertilizer every 7-10 days during the summer.

Hippeastrum

A flowering plant that grows quickly. Trumpet produces large flowers on stalks 2 feet tall. The flowers come in shades of red, white and pink. These are purchased as bulbs, some of which are specially prepared to bloom at Christmas. A light bulb should be placed in a 5-inch pot, leaving half of the lamp above the compost. Place the pot in a warm place in direct sunlight for a couple of weeks. Water sparingly at first, then increase as growth sets off. Feed once a week as flowers develop. Ordinary bulbs are in pots in winter. Christmas Bulbs should be potted in early November. Continue to water until late July, then reduce until the end of September, and finally stopped. Keep bulbs dry until growth begins again in February / March. Replanted every few years.

Sansevieria trifasciata laurentii

(Mother Tongue-in-law) or sometimes called "plant good luck. "is a popular and easy to grow plants. fleshy leaves long, striped, green and gray patches. Growth is slow and the plants can survive years. These plants can also be quite high and plentiful, so we recommend a clay pot. Prefers a warm place with some sunlight, although they are very adaptable to a wide range of conditions.

Excess water can cause problems. Moderate water in spring and summer. Allow the pot to almost dry between waterings. In winter, water sparingly once every two weeks. Feeding with a liquid fertilizer once every two weeks in summer. The roots can be divided in spring.

Vallota speciosa

Scarborough Lily is the popular name of this bulbous plant. The long strap like leaves can grow to 15 inches long. Funnel-shaped, bright scarlet flowers appear in August. This plant is quite surprising in a sunny window. Keeping in warm conditions during the summer, but the rest in a cooler place during winter. Feed every ten days from late spring to midsummer. Use a liquid fertilizer, tomato fertilizer is ideal. New water plants sparingly. More generously than the plant develops. Keep the potting mix barely moist during the winter.

aeroponics vs hydroponics

Hydroponics Vs Aeroponics?

What is the similarities and differences?

Hydroponics Hydroponics (water of the words Greek hydro and ponos work) is a method of growing plants using mineral nutrient solutions, nutrients, without soil. Terrestrial plants can be grown with their roots in mineral nutrient solution only or in an inert medium such as perlite, gravel or mineral wool. Aeroponics Aeroponics is the process of plants growing in an atmosphere of air or steam without the use of land or a global medium. Aeroponic culture differs from both hydroponics and in-vitro (Plant tissue culture) growing. Unlike hydroponics, that uses water as a growing medium and essential minerals to sustain plant growth, Aeroponics is conducted without a growing medium
