What is the best light for hydroponics?
I wonder what is the best type of lighting system for it to grow in my box. I've seen boxes with metal halide grow lights, light, high pressure sodium, LED lights, and fluorescent lights. What is the best light for hydroponics and yields?
There are several types of lighting systems that can be used when growing with hydroponics. In general, the best Light is a light high pressure sodium. This is because it puts out a lot of lights is in the range of suitable wavelength that give great plant growth. Halides metal are my more vegetative growth and should only be used for plants vegetate during the cycle. LED lights and fluorescent lights use less electricity than other types of light, but also generate a lower yield, but run cooler. So everything is a trade-off.
